A hamper of salumi for Christmas
Why cured salumi make a good gift, how to choose the hamper and how to book one with us: you collect it at the shop in Santa Lucia di Piave.
Salumeria Miatto
According to a Coldiretti/Ixè survey, at Christmas 2025 more than one family in three put a hamper of food and wine under the tree, spending 48 euros on average (AGI). It's easy to see why: it's a gift you eat together, and one that says where it comes from.
Why cured salumi
A whole cured salume is a gift that knows how to wait. You keep it in a cool, dry place and open it when the occasion comes: Christmas Eve, Christmas lunch, New Year, Epiphany. And everyone likes it, from grandparents to teenagers.
Our hampers
Our hampers hold only the shop's own salumi: the sopressa, the salame, the ossocollo (cured pork neck), the salame al vin Raboso, depending on the hamper. This year's hampers, and what's in them, are on the Christmas page.
A few tips for choosing:
- for a family that gathers in numbers round the table, the hamper with the sopressa: it's the big salume, the one to put in the middle;
- for someone on their own or a couple, the salami are better: they're smaller and finished sooner;
- for wine lovers, the salame al vin Raboso;
- for the person receiving it, a few lines on how to keep it: you'll find them in the story how to slice a sopressa.
